This page explains what we store in your browser when you visit disolutions.net, why, and how to change your mind. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than the usual boilerplate.
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to keep and to send back on later visits. Browser storage (localStorage) does something similar but is never transmitted with requests - it only exists in your browser until something clears it.
We use both. Where we describe something below as browser storage rather than a cookie, that distinction is deliberate and accurate.
Required for the site to function and to remember the decision you make about the categories below. These are first-party and are never used to profile you or shared with anyone.
di:cookie-consent
Helps us understand which pages are read, which are ignored, and where people give up. We look at this in aggregate to decide what to rewrite or rebuild.
_ga, _ga_*
Measures whether our advertising reaches people it is relevant to, and avoids showing you the same advert repeatedly. These are set by the advertising platforms themselves, under their own policies.
_fbp
_gcl_au, NID
_ps_xid, _ps_partner_key, _gsxid, _grsmpk
Powers optional features you can choose to use. Decline these and the feature simply does not load - nothing else on the site changes.
Brevo Conversations
Loaded only when you start filling in a form, never on an ordinary page view. Without it we cannot tell a real enquiry from an automated one.
_GRECAPTCHA
Open Cookie Settings and switch the optional categories on or off. The change applies to the browser you are using, straight away - no reload, no waiting.
You can also clear cookies and site data from your browser's own settings. If you do that, your recorded choice goes with it and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Declining will not lock you out of anything. The only visible difference is that the live chat widget does not load, so the contact form or email becomes the way to reach us.
Where a cookie is set by another company, that company decides what it contains and how long it lasts - we can only choose whether to load it at all, which is what your consent controls. Their own policies apply:
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold about you, write to us and a person will answer.
