How we built it
Challenges
An athlete leaving professional sport has a network, a public profile and transferable discipline, but no route to convert any of it. Mentorship programmes and NIL opportunities exist, and they are scattered across agents, group chats and one-off introductions — none of which an athlete can browse, compare or apply to on their own terms.
Our Process
We built the marketplace as the operational half of an existing programme rather than a separate product. Opportunities are typed — equity, hybrid, NIL — and carry an open status and a budget range, so an athlete can judge relevance before applying, and everything they touch is tracked in a watchlist and an application list.
Solutions
An exchange of live listings with a deal room behind it, a watchlist and application tracker for the athlete, the Moguls in Training programme surfaced alongside the deals, and the mentorship, playbook, events and career-accelerator programmes the organisation already ran.
Results
Opportunities that previously moved through private introductions are now listed, comparable and applied to in one place, and the athlete keeps a record of everything they have watched and applied for.

What is Athlete To Mogul?
Athlete To Mogul is a platform for professional athletes moving from sport into business. It combines mentorship from former athletes now leading companies, business courses and workshops, private networking events, and career-transition coaching with a marketplace of live commercial opportunities.
The organisation's stated aim is to be the bridge between sport and the business sector, so athletes can move into entrepreneurial and executive roles rather than starting over.
What is the ATM Marketplace?
The marketplace is the exchange inside the platform. Brands and investors publish opportunities tagged as equity, hybrid or NIL deals, each with an open status and a budget range. Athletes browse trending listings, save them to a watchlist and apply through the platform.
How does the mentorship side work?
Athletes are connected to business leaders who made the same transition themselves. That runs alongside a business playbook of online courses and workshops covering company building, investing and professional development, and private summits and mastermind sessions.
Who is the platform for?
Professional athletes at a career transition point, and the brands, investors and mentors who want to reach them. The premise is that athletic discipline, leadership and perseverance transfer directly into business once an athlete has the network and the tools.
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services, process, and how we deliver unparalleled digital solutions.
- Name, Image and Likeness — the commercial rights an athlete holds in their own identity. NIL deals on the exchange are sponsorship and endorsement opportunities brands publish for athletes to apply to.
- Listings are tagged by how the athlete is compensated. An equity listing offers a stake in the venture; a hybrid listing combines a stake with cash. The tag sits on the listing card alongside the budget range, so the terms are visible before applying.
- Yes. The watchlist holds saved listings, and My Applications tracks the ones already submitted, so an athlete can follow a deal while deciding without losing it in the feed.
- No. It is built for athletes at any career transition point, including those still competing who want to start building the business side before their playing career ends.
